The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ropar organized five days training on Preparation of cleaning agents at domestic level under the aegis of the Directorate of Extension Education, PAU and ICAR ATARI Zone-1, Ludhiana from August 16-22, 2023 in which 25 trainees participated.
Dr. Satbir Singh, Deputy Director (Trg.), KVK Ropar extended warm welcome to the participants and discussed that farm women can increase their family income by adopting this enterprise. He also shared that the rising awareness for safer detergents, soaps, hand wash, etc. reflects the future potential in this enterprise.
Ms. Manpreet Kaur Sran, Demonstrator (Home Science) shared that keeping in view of latest products, participants were imparted training on the preparation of phenyl, hand wash, bathing soaps, dish cleaner soaps and liquid, surf and soap. She added that demonstrations and hand on practice sessions were arranged for the participants to enable them learning by doing. She also motivated the participants to adopt this enterprise by forming self-help groups.
