IVRI, Mukteswar, 29.04.2023: ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Mukteswar campus organized kisan gosthi cum input Distribution program on 29.04.2023 under Scheduled Caste Sub Plan (SCSP). In the interaction session with the farmers, Dr. A. K. Mohanty (J. D., IVRI, Mukteswar) briefed about the theme of World Veterinary Day, 2023 and Dr. B. Mondal (PS & Head Virology Division) briefed about the contribution of IVRI, Mukteswar in the field of Veterinary science. Later on, Dr. Amol Gurav discussed about the management of metabolic diseases of livestock animals during rainy season and Dr. Karam Chand discussed about the prevention and control of control of viral diseases in the animals. A total of 55 farmers from Darmoli village (Ramgarh block, Nainital district) participated in the program. Inputs in terms of agricultural tool kits (kutla, rek, darati) and medicine kits (anti parasitic (end-ecto) drugs, calcium supplement, energy supplement for pre and post-calving period, multi-vitamin and multi-mineral syrup, rumenotorics, etc.) were distributed among the beneficiaries. Dr. Nitish Singh Kharayat described the use of medicines and Dr. Sher Singh briefed about the use of different agriculture tools to the farmers. The programme was co-ordinated by Dr. Amol Gurav, Dr. Nitish Singh Kharayat and Dr. Karam Chand, Scientist(s), ICAR-IVRI, Mukteswar campus.
