On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a yoga camp was organized by all the scientists and employees of the institute at the Central Sheep and Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar today, 21 June 2023, from 6 am to 7:00 am. This yoga program is sponsored by the Government of India. Under the given simple yoga protocol, various types of yoga asanas and pranayam were performed by the employees of the institute. In the program, Principal Scientist Dr. Suresh Chandra Sharma gave information about the methods of doing all types of yoga asanas and pranayam and the physical and mental benefits of these. And also conducted the program. Shri Chandra Prakash Taylor gave a live demonstration of various yoga activities for the guidance of the employees. Also, a workshop on the topic ‘Do Yoga, Stay Healthy’ was organized in the auditorium at 11.30 am in the institute in which Dr. Suresh Chandra Sharma, Nodal Officer, International Yoga Day, gave a simple and beautiful lecture on Dhyana Yoga.Dr. Through his lectures, Sharma has described Yogasana, Pranayama, Om, meditation and Ashtachakras simply, beautifully and in detail.
Addressing the workshop program, Institute Director Dr. Arun Kumar Tomar said that Yoga is an invaluable heritage of our country and a means to establish peace, coordination and harmony in the entire world. It keeps one calm, sharpens the intellect and prevents diseases. Stay away. We should assimilate Yoga in our lives and make it an integral part of our daily work. Through this, our own production as well as the productivity of the organization can be increased.
