Dr. Rukinder Preet Singh Dhaliwal, Assistant Professor (Crop Science) said that 25 kg zinc sulfate heptahydrate (21%) or 16 kg zinc sulfate monohydrate (33%) per acre should be applied sparingly to meet zinc deficiency. should Whereas, to meet the deficiency of iron element, one kg of ferrous sulphate should be dissolved in 100 liters of water and sprayed per acre. He said that for the prevention of Chinese (horse) grass and sparrow grass in direct seeded paddy, dissolve 400 ml of Ricestar 6.7 EC in 150 liters of water and spray at the stage of 2-4 leaves within 20-25 days after sowing. should give He said that herbicides should be sprayed in the wet field and after that the field should be kept in wet condition for one week.
