ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora,23rd December 2023, organised National Mushroom Day today. The theme was “Mushrooms for doubling the farmer’s income”.
Dr. K.K Mishra, Principal Scientist and Head, Crop Protection Division & PI, AICRP on Mushroom project, emphasised the nutritional and medicinal value of mushrooms. He educated farmers about mushroom biodiversity and their edible and medicinal benefits. Dr. Mishra also emphasised the potential for mushroom cultivation to improve farmers’ health and income.
A total of 22 participants from Uderkhani and Lob villages of district Bageshwar, Dadim village of district Nainital attended the programme.
