The ICAR-National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shree Kheterpal Udyog, Village Mundsar, Bikaner for transfer of technology for manufacturing ice cream products made from camel milk.
Dr. R.K. Sawal, Director, NRCC and Mr. Munni Ram Chaudhary, Proprietor of Shree Kheterpal Udyog signed the MoU.
Dr. Sawal in his address said that due to the medicinal properties present in camel milk, its popularity and social acceptance is increasing rapidly, milk has an important role in the management of various human diseases, such as diabetes, tuberculosis, autism etc., as a result, young entrepreneurs are coming forward for technology transfer to adopt the business related to camel milk. On this occasion, the Director said that this ice cream will prove to be very helpful in maintaining the taste as well as essential fatty acids, human skin, muscles and heart health.
Mr. Chaudhary expressed happiness over this MoU. He talked about increasing the popularity of sugar free ice cream products by first preparing it in the villages and local city level of Bikaner.
In-charge of Camel Dairy Technology and Processing Unit, Dr. Yogesh Kumar said that interested camel breeders, farmers, NGO entrepreneurs, producer organizations, dairy entrepreneurs, agencies etc. can contact the center and get detailed information about technology transfer.
