ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ariyalur, organised the launch event of the ‘Integrated Tribal Development Project’ funded by NABARD today. The project aimed to support 492 ST families belonging to nine villages in Udayarpalayam taluk of Ariyalur district for on-farm activities like milch animal rearing, goat rearing, poultry, mushroom, apiary, home gardens, and a series of capacity-building programmes for ST women with advanced technologies also planned under this project.

Dr. Shaik N. Meera, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Hyderabad, emphasised that the participants will benefit by improving their livelihood, employment, and income under this project. He urged to utilize the services of ICAR-KVK, Ariyalur, to the maximum extent for their technology and hand-holding support needs.

Dr. Anand, Chief General Manager, NABARD Regional Office, Chennai, in his inaugural address, urged utilizing the vast entrepreneurial scope framed under the project.

All the senior officials of ICAR-KVK, Ariyalur, and NABARD participated in the event.
