ICAR-CIFT
The ICAR-CIFT was established in 1957 and caters exclusively to harvest and post-harvest technology in fisheries and carries out research in all disciplines of harvest and post-harvest sector of fisheries. ICAR-CIFT plays a vital role in the development and implementation of quality and food safety guidelines in the fish processing industry The institute is also involved in developing various quality standards and analytical methods for fish and fishery products.
Objectives of the training
This hands-on training course is offered for graduate and post-graduate students in the discipline of Fisheries Science/Food Science/Food Technology/Quality assurance or any other equivalent or relevant science disciplines. The objective of this course is to enhance skills of personnel’s in food testing and contaminant analysis.
Duration
The training will be of 05 days duration and is scheduled during 02-06 September 2024.
Eligibility
This is a special capacity-building programme for the Graduate and Post-graduate students in Fisheries Science/Food Science/Food Technology/Quality assurance or any other equivalent or relevant science disciplines. A total of 25 candidates shall be selected for the course. A screening committee shall make the selection of the candidates as per the guidelines of ICAR. The selected candidates shall be intimated regarding their selection for
training on 29 August 2024.

Eligible candidates may submit application as per the format given in the brochure. The participants need to send the application form duly filled in and approved by the competent authority of the organization to the Course coordinator at the address given in the brochure by email (nranjeetkumar@gmail.com).

Training fee
The trainees are required to pay the training fee of Rs: 10000+ GST. Hence all the students belonging to general and OBC category need to pay the required fee to confirm their seats. The participants belonging to SC/ST communities are exempted to pay the training fee under
the flagship schemes (SCSP/TSP) of Govt. of India.
