ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research demonstrated drone technology to the farmers of Sansad Adarsha Gram in Dakshina Kannada today on the occasion of Gramotsava in Balpa village adopted by Shri Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament under the Sansad Gram Yojana scheme.
The Farmers were briefed about the need to use drones for spraying micronutrients, the operating procedure. Detailed emphasis was laid on how drones can enhance the efficiency of spraying chemicals and reduce the cost incurred in hiring manual labour.
A Krishimela was organized on 11 th January 2024 by the Balpa Gram panchayat as a part of Gramotsava.
About 500 farmers attended the Krishimela.
