ICAR-Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana, organised a 1-day training programme on the processing of groundnut for milk and paneer for 38 women beneficiaries from five Self Help Groups across various villages in Jalandhar district, Punjab today. The initiative was conducted under the SCSP Scheme, in collaboration with Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
The program aimed to improve SC women’s income by enhancing their groundnut processing skills. Participants learned about plant-based peanut milk, flavored beverages, and paneer, with a focus on extending milk shelf life through sterilization techniques.
Dr. Nachiket Kotwaliwale, Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana, highlighted the incubation facilities available at the institute, encouraging participants to utilize these facilities in their endeavors.
Dr. Ranjeet Singh, Head, Transfer of Technology Division, congratulated the participants on their achievements by awarding certificates, booklets, and beneficiary items post-programme.
Shri. Puneet Sharma (PCS), Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, was also present during the event.
