ICAR-Central Institute of Arid Horticulture, RS-Central Horticultural Experiment Station, Godhra, Gujarat organised a farmer’s day programme entitled “Sustainable development of tribal farmers through semi-arid horticultural technologies” today under the Tribal Sub Plan scheme at Zizari village, Ghoghamba taluka, Panchmahals district, Gujarat.

Mr. Kiran Singh K. Chauhan, Ghoghamba Taluka Panchayat, was the Chief Guest of the programme.

Dr. Arvind K. Singh, In-charge Head, CHES, Godhra spoke about the technological intervention of stations among the tribes of Panchmahals district of Gujarat. He also informed the farmers about the scientific 24 varieties of different fruit crops as well as 17 varieties of different vegetables.

A stall with exhibits was also demonstrated to the farmers during the programme.

Around 200 tribal farmers, farm women participated in the programme.
