a-IDEA, the technology business incubator at ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, organized an awareness programme on agricultural entrepreneurship development for students at Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU). The initiative aimed to provide an insightful platform to encourage entrepreneurial thinking among students in the agricultural sector.

Dr Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, spoke about the areas in agriculture that require innovation to enhance sustainability and profitability. He also urged the need to address post-harvest losses, which significantly impact farmers’ incomes, and called for new technologies to reduce waste and improve storage and processing systems.

About 350 students, teachers and faculty members  participated in the programme virtually.
