To mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of India’s first Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is celebrating the Golden Jubilee of KVKs with a Symbolic Baton Relay. This relay covers KVKs from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, culminating at Puducherry, India’s first KVK.

As part of this celebratory series, the KVKs of Jammu and Kashmir under SKUAST (K) and SKUAST (J) have successfully passed the baton to PAU KVK Pathankot. The baton will now travel across the KVKs of Punjab before continuing to the KVKs of Himachal Pradesh. This event symbolizes the teamwork, collaboration, and cooperation among KVKs dedicated to the welfare of the farming community.
