On February 7th, 2024, the Dairy Vigyan Kendra organized an Infertility Animal Health Camp at Chhapari village in the Khanpur taluka of Mahisagar district. Dr. J A Patel, a professor from the Department of Veterinary Gynecology’s, along with postgraduate students, participated as expert in examining the animals. A total of 89 cases were attended to during the camp. In addition to the local experts, veterinarians from the Panchmahal District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd.—Godhra also joined to provide treatment for the animals.
The camp was efficiently managed by Mr. Bhavin Patel, Livestock Inspector of Dairy Vigyan Kendra, and Mr. Jayesh Patel, Livestock Inspector of Pashu Vigyan Kendra.
Dr. S.J. Jadav, the In-charge Head and Assistant Professor of DVK, successfully organized the entire animal health camp under the guidance of Dr. Atanu Jana, Principal of SMC College of Dairy Science. Special thanks were extended to Dr. P.H. Tank, Principal & Dean of the College of Veterinary Science & A.H., Anand, for their support in making the event possible. The initiative aimed to improve the health and productivity of the livestock in the community, showcasing collaborative efforts between various stakeholders in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry.
