Agricultural College and Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala has organized an POCSO, Drug Abuse, impact of social media and Anti Ragging awareness programme on 24-10-2024. Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Tornala, Dr. S. Sridevi has briefed about the negative impact of social media on students and Anti-Ragging measures followed in the campus. Sri. A. Ramesh, Child Protection Officer from Women, children, disabled & senior citizens deportment, District child protection unit, Siddipet was invited as guest speaker to this programme. Mr. A. Ramesh created awareness about POCSO acts and their punishments and impact of social media among the students and also shared personal experiences, case studies. A total of 92 students (51 B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and 40 diploma second year) have attended the programme along with Sri. A. Sathish, OISA, Sri. L. Raja, OIAM and other teaching and Non- teaching staff of Agricultural College and Agriculture Polytechnic, Tornala and District child protection unit staff of Siddipet were participated in the event. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Sri. A. Sathish, OISA, Agricultural College, Tornala.
