To encourage crop diversity, few farmers from adopted village Kothapeta are motivated to cultivate Red gram rather cotton. Farmers named M. Ramesh and Rajender were given a Mid early duration of Red gram varieties from PJTSAU to observe and evaluate best performing variety at farmers’ field conditions amongst all these suitable varieties in adopted village Kothapeta. Red gram varieties like WRGE 97, WRGE 121 and PRG 176 are given to sow them as sole crop in nearby fields so as to observe their performance by comparing at different stages of crop development by Village adoption team on 21.07.2023 at Kothapeta.
