ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore, Kolkata, Agrinnovate India Ltd., New Delhi; and M/s M. R. Aquatech, Bhubaneswar, signed a transfer license agreement for ICAR-CIFRI Pen HDPE technology today.
Dr B. K. Das, Director, ICAR-CIFRI, emphasized that this technology has been commercialized for the second time. He said that in last five years, the institute has commercialized eight technologies. This technology is used extensively in India for in-situ quality fish fingerling production for stocking in reservoir and wetlands, he added.
Shri Subhash Chandra, Director, Dept of Fisheries, Govt of India, also graced the occasion.
Dr B. K. Behera, Chief Executive, National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad, stressed that this technology will revolutionize in-situ fish fingerling production without harming quality for stocking in reservoir and wetland.
Dr Praveen Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Agrinnovate India Ltd., stated that the robust technology will help revolutionize in-situ quality fish fingerling production in India.
ICAR-CIFRI grants non-exclusive license for a period of five years for manufacturing and sale of ICAR-CIFRI Pen HDPE in the territory of India. The commercialization process was completed through Agrinnovate India Ltd, commercial arm of ICAR.
