A five-day training course on “Nursery Raising Techniques for Horticultural Crops” concluded at the Skill Development Centre, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). A total of 32 farmers attended the course, deigned under the aegis of Directorate of Extension Education.
Dr (Mrs) Rupinder Kaur, Associate Director (Skill Development), said that the course equipped the trainees with the necessary skills required for lucrative production from horticultural crops.
The Course Coordinator Dr Prerna Kapila dwelt upon the skill-related trainings organized by PAU for the benefit of the farming community.
The PAU experts Dr JS Brar, Dr Anirudh Thakur, Dr Mandeep Singh Gill, Dr Kirandeep Kaur Kang, Dr Rajwinder Kaur Sandhu, Dr Harpreet Kaur, Dr Gurteg Singh, Dr Sangeet Ranguwal, Dr Ruma Devi, Dr Dilpreet Talwar, Dr Rupinder Kaur Gill, Dr Satpal Sharma, Dr Jiffinvir Singh, Dr Madhu Sharma, Dr Barinder Kaur, Dr Sailesh Jindal, Dr Simrat Singh, Dr Tania Thakur, Dr Madhu Bala, Dr Rishu Sharma, Dr Ranjit Singh and Dr Parminder Singh, Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscaping explained fruit, vegetable and flower nursery raising techniques. Later, the trainees visited the research farms of horticulture at PAU.
