ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad celebrated 12.04.2024 its 40th Foundation Day today.
The Chief Guest Dr. S.K Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (NRM), ICAR, acknowledged the efforts of the institute and also motivated the staff to work hard for better prospects.
Dr. V. K Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA spoke about the contribution made in dryland research including the project achievements, publications, copyrights, awards, etc. including upcoming challenges and opportunities.
Dr. Rajbir Singh, Assistant Director General (AAFCC), ICAR (virtual mode), Dr. Lakshmi Eswari, Centre Head, C-DAC, Hyderabad, Dr. Y.S Rama Krishna, Former Director, ICAR-CRIDA, Dr. Prakash Chauhan, Director, NRSC, Hyderabad and Dr. Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad were the Guests of Honor during the programme.
A speed breeding facility and digital library were also inaugurated during the event. Four publications were released and the institute’s staff were recognized for their contributions in administrative, accounts, technical, and supporting categories. Awards were presented for their achievements. Prizes were also given to winners of sports events and a cultural program was organized to mark the event.
