ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun organised a drone spraying demonstration and farmers’ seminar in 12.03.2024 villages Echhala and Phateu.
Dr. M Sankar, Sr Scientist, ICAR-IISWC & Principal Investigator, Agri. Drone Project, educated farmers on using drones for chemical and nutrient spraying and discussed drone-related schemes.
Drones were used for spraying crops in Echala Phateu, Phata, and Samalta villages, as part of the Drone Demonstration project under the Institute TSP scheme, focusing on Peas, Wheat, Barley, Garlic, and Onion.
About 40 farmers from Dehradun District attended the programme and discussions were held about the problems related to crop production.
