Two startups trained by Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) clinched awards at the Kisan Mela, organized by the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and technology (CIPHET), Ludhiana from October 3-5. Out of five University trained startups, two bagged the awards.
Mr Abhinav Mahajan won the second prize in machine category for his startup Agsure Private Limited which is developing an app based platform for the stakeholders of agricultural industry to communicate and for book keeping. This startup was selected under PABI from two-month training programme.
Another startup being run by Ms Shruti Goyal also bagged the second prize in the category of exhibition. This startup is manufacturing gluten free mishty rose petal jam. It also sold the products at the exhibition.
Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication and Principal Investigator (PI), PABI, congratulated the startups and encouraged them to innovate and drive positive change by inspiring others to pursue excellence and innovation.
Dr Poonam A Sachdev, Co-PI, PABI, lauded the entire team of PABI for their phenomenal efforts in supporting startups and giving them good market outreach. She informed that it was PABI which motivated its startups to participate in the Kisan Mela.
