Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib of Shri Guru Granth Sahib ji was solemnised by devotees at Guru Anagd Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana in connection with the Parkash Purb of Guru Angad Dev ji. Community langar was served after the bhog. It is pertinent to mention that the veterinary university was established in 2006 on the name of the second guru, Guru Angad Dev Ji. Guru ji was the inventor of Gurmukhi Lipi for Punjabi language. He was a thorough animal lover and a number of sick and injured animals got treatment in his personal care.
Jatha of Bhai Beant Singh and Jatha of Bhai Jarnail Singh recited the soulful kirtan of holy Gurbani. Students also recited the Kirtan.
Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts and said that It was befitting function at newly constructed examination hall and Dr Jasmer Singh Reading Hall. He prayed to the almighty for the students who study and take exams in this facility to excel in their lives to attain great heights of profession and service to the nation.
Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students’ Welfare said that this was a joint effort of employees, teachers and students of university who contributed their services with ‘Tan, Man and Dhan’ in the Akhand Path Sahib. Dr. T. S. Rai, Librarian of GADVASU thanked all the devotees who performed Sewa during the Akhand Path Sahib. On this occasion a large number of devotees from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, PAU and outsiders from campus paid their respect.
