ICAR–Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CCARI), Goa and ICAR–Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), North Goa organized a campaign on soil health management on 18 May, 2023 under Mission Lifestyle for Environment to encourage sustainable life styles. Dr. Gopal Mahajan, Senior Scientist (Soil Scientist) briefed the audience about the importance of soil health in sustainable agriculture. He further emphasized the need of nutrient use efficiency and soil organic carbon management. In this campaign the vermicomposting techniques using farm waste were demonstrated to the participants and explained the importance of vermicompost in maintaining soil health. Dr. Somnath Holkar, Senior Scientist (Plant Pathology), ICAR-National Research Centre for Grapes, Pune also attended this function. The programme was attended by 40 participants. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Uthappa, A. R, Shri Vinod Ubarhande, Shri Rahul Kulkarni, Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati and Kushmala I.C.
