90th Birth Anniversary of “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” was organized at Agricultural College, Adilabad on 06.08.2024. The programme started with garlanding the photo of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar by Dr. B. Rajeswari, Associate Dean i/c., Agricultural College, Adilabad, followed by floral tributes by Dr. K. Bhanu Rekha, OIAM & Professor (Agro.); Dr. G. Anitha, Warden & Associate Prof. (Ento.), other Teaching, non-teaching staff and outsourcing staff. Later, Associate Dean i/c., Dr. B. Rajeswari addressed the gathering and focused on the efforts put forth by the Telangana people under the guidance of ‘Telangana Architecture’ “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” for achieving separate state. The address of Associate Dean also emphasized that achieving the state is not the end and every citizen in their respective capabilities should deliver their duties to strengthen the state in all respects. Apart from this, a brief about Jayashankar Sir Family, personality and positions held was highlighted. The speaker also focused on the aspects related to allocation of Water, Budget and Recruitment of employees which were the main motto of separate state agitation. Later Dr. K. Bhanu Rekha, Professor, Agricultural College, Adilabad briefed that everyone must follow the pathway of “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” and to bring laurels to the University. After this, Physical Director, Non-teaching and out sourcing staff briefed about the struggle of Jayashankar Sir towards Telangana Formation and its importance. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. B. Rajeswari, Associate Dean i/c.
