25th April 2024, New Delhi The 59th Annual Rice Group Meeting of All India Coordinated Research Project on Rice was inaugurated today at the National Agricultural Science Complex, New Delhi.
Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Dr. S.K. Pradhan, Assistant Director General (FFC), Dr. D.K. Yadava, Assistant Director General (Seeds), Dr. R.M Sundaram, Director ICAR- Indian Institute of Rice Research, Hyderabad, Dr. A.K. Nayak, Director, ICAR- National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Dr. A.K. Singh, Director, ICAR- Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Dr. Ajay Kohli, Research Director, International Rice Research Institute, Philippines, Dr. C. Viswanathan, Joint Director Research, ICAR-IARI were present during the programme.
The dignitaries provided valuable insights into rice research, focusing on developing climate-resilient, biofortified, and high-yielding varieties for India’s diverse agro-climatic conditions. Rice scientists from across the nation actively participated in a meeting, aiming to advance research and innovation in rice cultivation and unlock new research frontiers.
