Since winters were advancing, the entomologists of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) appealed to the beekeepers to go in for extra care of honey bees in order to get remunerative returns from apiculture. A total of 35 beekeepers attended the monthly training camp of Progressive Beekeepers’ Association (PBKA), held under the guidance of Dr TS Riar, Additional Director Communication, and Dr Kuldeep Singh, Programme Associate Director.

The Principal Entomologist Dr Jaspal Singh explained the identification and control of small hive beetle, while Dr Amit Chaudhary shared the tips for the collection of quality bee pollen and their storage.

The Secretary of PBKA Jagtar Singh welcomed the members of the association, and the President of PBKA JS Sohi proposed a vote of thanks. Varinder Singh from Communication Centre coordinated the programme.
