The ICAR-Directorate of Coldwater Fisheries Research, Bhimtal organized 17th Parthenium Awareness Week during 16th to 22nd August 2022.• On 16th August 2022, parthenium uprooting activities were carried out in institute campus.On 17th August 2022, parthenium uprooting activities were undertaken in ICAR-DCFR Mahseer Hatchery. An attempt was taken to make hatchery free from parthenium grasses. On 18th and 19th August 2022, parthenium uprooting activities were under taken in the nearby areas of the institute.• On 22nd August 2022, an online lecture was organized on “Parthenium menace and its management”. This lecture was delivered by Dr Sushil Kumar, Principal Scientist & National Coordinator PAW, 
Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur which was attended by scientific, technical and administrative staff along with research scholars.
