Krishi Vigyan Kendra ,Moga successfully conducted a five day vocational training on”Preparation of eco friendly cleansing agents at home” from 28th August,2023 to 1Sep,2023 at KVK, Budh Singh Wala Moga for the rural women and girls of the district.
The training programme was organized under the able guidance of Dr, Amandeep Singh Brar, Associate Director(Trg.),KVK, Moga under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Dr. Parminder Kaur, Professor(Home Science) acted as a course coordinator.
Dr. Parminder Kaur welcomed the participants and gave orientation regarding the need and importance of making eco friendly cleansing agents. She enlightened the participants regarding the preparation of washing powder, phenyl, Hand wash, Dishwasher, Starch solution for clothes etc. through the lectures and method demonstrations.
The trainees actively participated in the practical sessions and learned by trying their hands on making these cleansing agents themselves. They were also provided knowledge regarding the procurement of raw material, packaging and marketing of the products. Dr.Amandeep Singh Brar threw light on the mandates of KVK and motivated the participants to adopt the this new venture at home as well as at commercial scale.
