Vice Chancellor of Bihar Agricultural University Sabour, Bhagalpur and Bihar Animal Science University, Patna Dr. D. R. Singh inaugurated the Liquid Nitrogen Plant in the campus under National Agricultural Project at Advanced Center on Sericulture running in Dr. Kalam Agricultural College campus at Kishanganj Arrabari on 17.07.2014. After the inauguration of the Liquid Nitrogen Plant, Vice Chancellor Dr. D. R. Singh said that with the installation of Liquid Nitrogen Plant in the campus, now liquid nitrogen will be available in Kishanganj district itself, due to which all the three colleges associated with the campus will now have ease in research work related to molecular science such as isolation of DNA and RNA, as well as liquid nitrogen obtained from the liquid nitrogen plant will prove to be a milestone in keeping silkworm eggs for longer days and in preserving semen of animals. With the liquid nitrogen plant running, scientists will no longer have to go outside, liquid nitrogen will be available from the stable plant in the campus itself. This plant is the first liquid nitrogen plant in the Seemanchal region of Bihar. He also participated in the programme of planting mango saplings with the first year Bachelor of Agriculture students of Dr. Kalam Agricultural College in the campus.
