A three days Training-cum-Demonstration Programme on “Application of agro-chemical in Kharif crops through drone technology” was organised at KVK, Ramgarh; Bicha, Jobla, Lodhma and Udlu villages of Ramgarh district of Jharkhand during 4-6 September, 2024. Live demonstrations of spraying of agro-chemical (nano urea) through drone were conducted on Kharif crop such as rice. Dr Sudhanshu Shekhar, Head, KVK Ramgarh educated the farmers on potential of Agri-Drones and underlined the benefits of drones technology in agriculture. Dr. Pawan Jeet aware farmers about operating procedures of drone and conducted live demonstration of drone in farmers’ field. Dr. Prem Kumar Sundaram highlighted the benefits and different on-going govt. scheme and subsidy offers on drone technology in agriculture.
Dr. Dharamjit Kherwar aware farmers about the use of agro-chemical through drone in agriculture particularly in horticulture crops. Under this programme, spraying of nano urea was demonstrated in approx. 40 acres of paddy crops with drone technology. More than 200 farmers and students were present at the demonstration site during training programme. A total of 50 B. Sc. (Ag.) students of AISECT University, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand also benefitted with this training programme. Dr. Indra Jeet (SMS), Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, Shri Sunny Kumar and other staffs of KVK, Ramgarh were also present.
