Taking bold strides towards empowering budding agripreneur, team National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations-Technology Business Incubator (NIDHI-TBI)at School of Business Studies (SBS),Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is set to host an innovative agri Startup workshop under the leadership of Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Worthy Vice Chancellor, PAU on November 13, 2024. This landmark event promises to be a fertile ground for creativity, learning and innovation, catering specifically to aspiring agribusiness entrepreneurs who are keen to reshape the rural landscape of Punjab.
The workshop has curated two major attractions to spark creativity and competitive spirit among participants. IdeaXChange, the first of the event’s major segments, will feature a idea sharing presentation that focuses specifically on initiatives across the food value chain—ranging from fruits and vegetables to pulses and cereals. The second highlight of the day, the Prototype Contest, is a compelling challenge for participants to bring their agripreneurial ideas to life through practical, working models.
Speaking on the intent of the workshop, Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Principal Investigator NIDHI-TBI and Professor-cum-Director of SBS remarked, “We aim to establish a nurturing and uplifting ecosystem for agribusiness startups that encourages our youth to step forward and transform agriculture through innovation and sustainable practices. It is our belief that these initiatives, held under guidance of NIDHI-TBI(DST, GoI Research Project ) will catalyze a wave of resilient entrepreneurship and rural growth.”Dr Poonam Sachdev, Co-PI of this project along with her team From Department of Food Science and Technology is taking care of production orientation of participating potential Agripreneur.
Subject Matter Specialists will listen to business ideas and will give ideas to reshape and polish agrarian ideas related to food business, Nutritional security, Food processing, Food technology, Skill Development and Agri Business Management for catering to ever demanding needs and changing preferences of Customers for evolving with expanding markets.
All stakeholders of Agri Business System will participate in this workshop for making agrarian world more Productive and Efficient.
