The closing ceremony of the 15-day Fun Finity: Summer Camp, which ran from 29 May to 14 June, was organised under the Student Ready Program of the Resource Management and Consumer Science Department at the University’s Community Science College under the guidance of Dr. Chhaya Shukla. The chief guest of the program was the college’s Dean Dr. Alka Goyal. The university’s Registrar Dr. Deepa Vinay was present as the special guest. The main objective of the summer camp was to provide education to the fourth year students of the college on conceptualization, planning and practical implementation of experimental events in the field of event management. The summer camp included skill development, mutual cooperation, leadership ability, decision-making, environmental awareness, initiation into the basic mantras of life in a playful manner, etc., through calligraphy, paper craft, mandala art, stone painting, fun games, etc. for school students studying from class 3 to 12.

In the closing ceremony, the chief guest Dr. Alka Goyal praised the efforts of the students and said that such summer camps are very important for quality skill development in the summer period. Along with the development of a sense of mutual cooperation in children, a desire to learn new things and determination develops, which makes them determined to ensure their cooperation in nation building in the future. Registrar Dr. Deepa Vinay expected parents to keep motivating their children to participate in such summer camps organized by the Community Science College as the basic mantra. Underlining the important role of summer camps in the overall development of children, she said that summer camps help in expanding the power of thinking and understanding in children as well as in developing self-confidence, willpower to do something good, maturity in ideological outlook, mutual understanding, spirit of cooperation, etc. She also guided the organizing committee that in order to connect children with the environment, an element for tree plantation and environmental protection should also be included in the summer camp. In this summer camp, a total of 40 students were taught calligraphy by Shri Vishwajit Mandal. A fashion show based on the five elements of nature was also displayed by the children, in which the children spread messages related to removing plastic pollution, planting trees, water conservation, air pollution and working on noise pollution. On this occasion, along with the parents of the children, department head Dr. Aditi Vats, Dr. Seema Kwatra, Dr. Anupama Pandey, Mr. Abhik Khastgir, Dr. Divya Singh, Dr. Sandhya Rani, Dr. Sunita Sharma etc. were present.
