INTRODUCTION :
Synthetic peptides are chemically synthesized short chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds. It is gaining popularity in many fields including research, therapeutics, diagnostics etc. due to its small size and ease of synthesis. Moreover, modifications can be done during synthesis to increase its stability and bioavailability. Synthetic peptides have found its application in fish and animal reproduction, vaccine development, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and delivery systems of various biomolecules inside cells. The training programme is intended to provide hands-on training on solid-phase peptide synthesis using Fmoc-chemistry for synthesis of bio-molecules viz. peptide hormones, antimicrobial peptide (AMP), ce ll penetrating peptide, peptide antigen etc. for various biological applications. The training will cover both theory and practical sessions.
