Regional station, ICAR-CIAE, Coimbatore participated in Mega Agriculture Expo 2023 “ Velan Sangamam 2023” at Care Engineering College, Dindigul main Road, Trichy, Tamil Nadu organized by Department of Agriculture – Farmers welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu from 27.07.2023 to 29.07.2023 with an objective to disseminate the latest innovation to the farmers across Tamil Nadu . During the exhibition, equipment and technology developed by ICAR CIAE Regional station, Coimbatore like Tractor operated raised bed former cum onion planter, Banana injector, Millet popping machine, Banana rope making machine and banana fiber extractor were displayed and demonstrated to the farmers. More than one lakh farmers from different states participated in the Exhibition. Dr.T.Senthilkumar, Principal Scientist and Dr.S.Balasurbamanian, Principal Scientist coordinated the program and demonstrated the technologies to the farmers, officials and students. Dr.S.Balasubramanian, Principal Scientist delivered a talk on “Agricultural processing & Post Harvest technology and Improved value addition technologies for agricultural crops” during the conference conducted on Agricultural mechanization and value addition technology to the farmers.
