ALIGARH August 7: A plantation drive was held at the Aligarh Muslim University ABK High School (Girls) under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign. The Vice Principal, Dr. Saba Hasan initiated the campaign and the school teachers, along with some students planted Gulmohar plants’ saplings in and around the school campus with an objective save the environment and spread the green cover on the university campus.
The staff members also took a pledge to motivate students to develop eco-friendly habits and save the environment from drastic climate changes, deforestation and pollution.
Dr Saba Hasan appreciated the efforts of the Coordinator, Dr. Farhat Parveen, Ms. Arshi Khanam and Mr. Md Imran Khan and thanked the members of the University’s Department of Land and Garden for their help in organizing the plantation drive.
