A five-day vocational training course on “Value Addition of Summer Horticultural Crops and Waddi Making” was held from May 20th to 24th, 2024 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Langroya, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. The training was organized under the auspices of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, and ICAR-ATARI, Zone-I, Ludhiana.

Assistant Professor of Home Science, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, provided comprehensive instruction on enhancing the nutritional value and quality of fruits and vegetables. Participants engaged in hands-on preparation of various products, including mix fruit jam, papaya jam, mango jam, tutti-fruity, raw mango squash, mango chutney, tomato chutney, sweet lemon pickle, mango pickle, green chili pickle, and waddi from urad pulse.

On the final day, Associate Director (Training) of KVK, Langroya, Dr. Maninder Singh Bons, expressed gratitude to the participants and encouraged them to elevate their new skills to greater heights. He also offered guidance on market linkage for selling their products.
