PAU-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bahowal, Hoshiarpur, hosted an Ex-Trainee Sammelan on June 18, 2024, celebrating the recent vocational training programmes. The event was held at the KVK premises, marking the successful conclusion of training sessions on ‘Embellishment of Clothes Using Modern and Traditional Techniques, ‘Preservation of Seasonal Summer Fruits and Vegetables,’ and ‘Dairy Farming’.

Dr Maninder Singh Bons, Associate Director (Training) at KVK Hoshiarpur, commended the trainees for their dedication and successful completion of the training programmes. He highlighted the potential of these diverse courses to enhance rural household income and assured continued support for future initiatives. Dr Bons encouraged the trainees to connect with KVK and adopt the latest technologies promoted by Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana.

Technical experts from KVK Hoshiarpur, including Dr Parminder Singh, Associate Professor (Animal Science), Dr Ajaib Singh, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Engineering), and Dr Sukhdeep Kaur, Assistant Professor (Home Science), provided valuable insights on managing dairy animals during the rainy season, processing agricultural produce, and developing entrepreneurship through group formation.

The programme also featured an interactive session where trainees shared feedback, suggestions, and experiences. They expressed their appreciation for the training programs and raised queries about the practical application of their new skills and potential challenges. The event concluded with the awarding of training certificates to the participants.
