KVK, Palem Scientist participated and Created Awareness on “Promotion of use of alternative fertilizers in place of DAP” at Collect orate, Nagarkurnool District on 19.12.2024. Dr.T.Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem created awareness about alternate sources of fertilizers in place of DAP in Yasangi crops like paddy, maize and groundnut. Recommended straight and complex fertilizers suitable for basal application and phosphorous solubilizes for increasing the availability of native soil phosphorous to the crops. Suggested nutrient rich organic manures, liquid fertilizers and Nano DAP as an alternate to DAP. Briefed about customized and fortified fertilizers suitable for drip fertigation in horticultural crops. Released a folder about the alternative sources of fertilizers in place of DAP. In this programme Joint Collector, Nagarkurnool, Fertilizer license dealers along with PACS, ARSKs and FPOs, MARKFED staff and department staff (DAO, ADAs, and MAOs) a total of 73 members were participated.
