The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology Mumbai conducted a three-day specialized training programme for women on ‘Electrospinning for Nanofiber Production’ from December 18 to 20, 2024. This self-funded initiative attracted eight participants, including faculty members, research scholars, and scientists from various academic and research institutions. Participants came from multiple states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha. The course included both fundamental and advanced aspects of electrospinning technology, along with its applications in cotton textiles, agriculture, Biosensor, medical textiles and technical textiles. Dr. Shukla, Director, presided over the valedictory ceremony, where he welcomed attendees and interacted with the trainees to collect their insights and feedback, as well as to explore potential collaboration opportunities. Dr. GTV Prabu, Senior Scientist and the Training Coordinator, provided an overview of the training programme and motivated participants to consider future collaborative efforts. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all attendees.
