ALIGARH July 4: Dr Lucas Testa, a renowned interventional cardiologist from Italy visited the Department of Cardiology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University and performed some cardiology interventions at the Cath lab, including a few complicated angioplasties.
In his talk, Dr Lucas highlighted the role of drug eluting balloon as the safer alternative to drug eluting stents in specific situations.
Earlier, welcoming the visiting expert, Prof Veena Maheshwari, Dean, Faculty of Medicine said that his visit will help our doctors polish their working knowledge and efficiency.
Prof Asif Hasan, Chairman, Department of Cardiology, introduced Dr Lucas and urged the DM students to learn nuances of angiography and angioplasty.
Eminent doctors from Aligarh city attended the CME.
