ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dimapur, Nagaland Centre organized a field day on kharif maize (Pusa HQPM-5 Improved) at Dhansiripar village, today. The event featured the distribution of agricultural inputs, including one motorized VL Maize Sheller and five-wheel hoes.
Shri Kevin Solo, Sub-Divisional Agricultural Officer (SDAO), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Two local farmers shared their experiences with the Improved Maize variety, highlighting the benefits and successes they have achieved, that inspired the other farmers.
The programme concluded with an interactive session between farmers and agricultural officials. This event offered valuable insights into Kharif maize and agricultural innovations, encouraging local farmers to embrace improved technologies through a “seeing is believing” approach.
The event witnessed active participation from local farmers, state agricultural officials, and ICAR-KVK representatives, with a total of 30 participants.
