ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa, organized a farmers-scientist interaction programme at Mayem today, aiming to bridge the gap between scientific research and practical farming. The event brought together agricultural scientists, experts, and local farmers, creating a platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas. The programme focused on modern farming techniques, sustainable agricultural practices, and value-added solutions to enhance productivity and soil health.
Dr Udharwar Sanjay Kumar Vithalrao, SMS (Animal Science) and In-charge ICAR-KVK, North Goa, interacted with farmers on the scientific management of dairy and poultry farming. He emphasized adopting modern, research-based practices to improve nutrition, breeding, and health standards for increased milk production. Dr Udharwar also shared insights on managing dairy infrastructure, disease prevention, and animal welfare to ensure sustainable and profitable farming.
The session equipped farmers with practical knowledge to improve productivity and sustainability in their farming practices.
A total of 24 farmers benefited from the programme, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge on various aspects of agriculture.
The programme was coordinated by Dr Udharwar S. V., Shri Rahul Kumar, Shri Rahul Kulkarni, and Shri Vishwajeet Prajapati.
