The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Kisan Mela continued to inspire and showcase the talents of farmers from across Punjab. On day one of the event, the crop competitions drew attention as outstanding farmers were recognized for their hard work and dedication.

In the onion category, Jasdeep Singh, son of Jaswinder Singh from Ramiana, Faridkot, won first prize, while Jatinder Singh, son of Surinder Singh from Bhamri, Gurdaspur, claimed the second prize. Dalip Singh, son of Gurdial Singh from Dhilwan, Faridkot, took home first prize in the garlic category. Amarjit Singh, son of Jarnail Singh from Bargari, Faridkot, won the gourd (tori) category, while Jugrajpreet Singh, son of Jaspreet Singh from Galib Kalan, Ludhiana, bagged the first prize in bitter gourd. Amarjit Singh, son of Balbir Singh from Birarwal, Patiala, placed second in the same category.

In the okra (bhindi) category, Manpreet Singh, son of Nirbhai Singh from Khumna, Fatehgarh Sahib, secured first place. In contrast, Raghu Raj Singh, son of Manjeet Singh from Nagra, Sangrur, won first prize for colocasia (arbi). Smt. Rajvir Kaur, daughter of Shamsher Singh from Baliyaa, Sangrur, claimed first prize in the brinjal (baingan) category, and Ashish Ahuja, son of Surinder Mohan Ahuja from Modi Khera, Fazilka, won the chilli (mirch) category.

In the gourd (ghiya) competition, Kashmir Chand, son of Munshi Ram from Lotiya Wala, Fazilka, secured first place, while Amandeep Singh, son of Sukhpal Singh from Jand Wala, Fazilka, placed second. Manjit Singh Ghumman, son of Shyam Singh Ghumman from Nagra, Sangrur, won first prize in cowpea (lobia). Gurpreet Singh, son of Ajaib Singh from Patti Sadiq, Abohar, Fazilka, claimed first prize in cotton. The sugarcane category saw Vikas Bhadu, son of Inderjit Singh Bhadu from Varyaam Khera, Fazilka, win first prize, with Ajayveer Jakhar, son of Sajjan Kumar Jakhar from Punjkosi, Abohar, taking second prize.

In other competitions, Sukhveer Singh, son of Jaswinder Singh from Chak Bhaike, Mansa, won first prize in the marigold category, while Jinder Singh, son of Jagnohar Singh from Sandhuan, Ropar, won first prize for amla. Sajjan Kumar Jhakhar, son of Balram Jhakhar from Punjkosi, Abohar, Fazilka, claimed first prize in pear (nashpati). In the dragon fruit category, Harbant Singh, son of Gurnam Singh from Thullewal, Barnala, took first place, while Balbir Singh, son of Avtar Singh from Cheema, Jalandhar, took second place. Malkit Singh, son of Avtar Singh from Badha, Fazilka, secured first prize in the sweet variety (mittha) category.

In the malta (early gold) category, Karanveer Singh, son of Kulwant Singh from Aulakh, Faridkot, secured first prize, while Manish Kumar, son of Khan Chand from Dhani Mandla, Fazilka, won first prize for Malta. Finally, in the lemon (nimbu) category, Jaswinder Singh, son of Gurdial Singh from Istu, Nabha, Patiala, claimed first prize.

The results of the stall competition were equally impressive. M/S Kubota Tractors from Kubota Machinery India Pvt Ltd, Chennai, won first prize in the tractors and machinery category. M/S Saron Mechanical Works from Cheema Mandi, Sangrur, claimed the first prize for tractor-driven implements, while M/S National Agro Industries from Ludhiana won in the electric motors, engines, and tools category. M/S Sonalika from Ludhiana took the top spot in the water-saving tools and machines category. M/S K.C. Marketing Company from Ludhiana won first prize for agro-processing machinery, while M/S National Fertilizers Limited from Ludhiana won in the fertilizers category. M/S Bayer Crop Science from Chandigarh took first prize in the pesticides category.
