As part of its ongoing efforts to support farmers with practical knowledge and techniques to enhance crop health and yield, the Punjab Agricultural University—Farm Advisory Service Centre (PAU-FASC) in Sangrur conducted a series of demonstrations on identifying and controlling micronutrient deficiencies in guava orchards. The sessions were held in the villages of Mangwal, Samundgarh, and Bhojowali as part of ongoing diagnostic visits to guava orchards in the district, including previous visits to Mehal Kalan, Bakshiwala, Mard Khera, and Kheri.
During these visits, farmers were educated on recognizing deficiency symptoms in fruit plants, enabling them to take timely corrective measures. The demonstration in Bhojowali also included monitoring the crop condition of rice varieties PR 126, PR 130, Pusa Basmati 1847, and Pusa Basmati 1509, all of which showed no signs of deficiencies or insect pest incidence.
