An awareness-cum-demonstration programme on “Application of agro-chemical in kharif crop through drone technology” was organised at Telhara village of Nalanda district of Bihar on 11th September, 2024. Live demonstrations of spraying of agro-chemical through drone were conducted on kharif crop such as paddy. Dr Bikash Sarkar educated the farmers on potential uses of drone in agriculture spraying. Dr. Pawan Jeet aware farmers’ about operation and maintenance of drone and conducted live demonstration of drone in farmers’ field.
Dr. Prem Kumar Sundaram highlighted different on-going govt. scheme and subsidy offers on drone technology in agriculture. Dr. Govind Makarana aware farmers’ about management practices of crops through drone technology. Under this programme, spraying of nano urea was demonstrated in approx. 10 acres of paddy crop with drone technology. More than 100 farmers were present at the demonstration site during training programme. Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, Shri Awadhesh Gupta (Former Mukhiya of village) was also present.
