Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Namsai organised a series of awareness-cum-animal health and vaccination camps were organized by at different villages of the Namsai district to ensure better health coverage for farm animals and poultry birds from seasonal diseases. The programme was organized at Satghoria village of Lekang Circle, today.
Dr. B. K. D Borah, SMS, Animal Science spoke about the importance of deworming and scheduled vaccination of farm animals concerning production and productivity. He also emphasized taking necessary biological measures to prevent the occurrence of seasonal diseases.
During the programme, hands-on training on poultry vaccination was also conducted and encouraged the farm women to vaccinate their birds periodically.
A total of 42 farm households participated in the programme benefitting around 210 farm animals and 500 birds.
