Pantnagar. 25 February 2025 | Animal health camp and farmer training program was organized in village Khuriyakhatta – Artificial Insemination Center Pantnagar under the All India Coordinated Research Project – FRIZWAL funded by Central Institute for Research on Cattle, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, Meerut at the University. This camp was inaugurated by Dr. D. Kumar, Head of Department of Animal Breeding and Acting Dean of Veterinary College. Dr. D. Kumar encouraged all the cowherds and project team members as well as highlighted the main points of animal management. A total of 15 cows were treated after health inspection in the camp. Health inspection and treatment of animals was done by animal scientist Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary, co-project officer. Along with this, co-project officer Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary gave medicinal information for the prevention of animals suffering from various parasites and other infectious diseases in the area. In the camp, along with conducting the program, Project Officer Dr. Chandra Bhan Singh also highlighted the objectives of the project and the benefits that the animal breeders would get from it. Dr. Brijesh Singh, Professor, Department of Animal Husbandry Management, Dr. B.N. Shahi, Professor, Department of Animal Breeding and Dr. Ripusudan Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Animal Nutrition addressed the animal breeders and called upon them to adopt the main technical aspects of animal husbandry and adopt advanced animal husbandry. The vote of thanks for the camp was given by Mr. Shivanshu Tiwari and registration and distribution of material to the animal breeders was done by Miss Aradhana Phular. A total of 70 animal breeders participated in the camp.
