ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Mukteswar campus organized various extension activities viz., method demonstration and input distribution program under SCSP on 20.12.2024 at Village Darima, Ramgarh block, District Nainital. A total of 64 farmers participated in this program. Dr. Y. P. S. Malik (Joint Director, ICAR-IVRI, Mukteswar, Nainital, Uttarakhand) encouraged the participants to adopt animals husbandry in their farming system and assured that all the technical support will be given by IVRI, Mukteswar. In the demonstration program the method of drenching supplements and anthelmintic was demonstrated to the livestock owners. The queries of the farmers regarding livestock and agriculture were answered by the expert panel.
In the input distribution program, all the farmers were distributed medicinal kits (anthelmintic liquid suspension and bolus) and feed supplements (Chelated Calcium liquid supplement and chelated mineral mixture, ruminotoric bolus). The programme was coordinated by Dr. Nitish Singh Kharayat, Dr. Amol Gurav, Dr. Madhusoodan A.P., Dr. Deepika Bisht, Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Scientist(s) of ICAR-IVRI, Mukteswar campus.
