1. To demonstrate production of tissue culture plants of Banana
2. To Provide hands on experience for the development of tissue culture banana plants

1. Banana micropropagation on commercial scale is a profitable venture as banana is the most cultivated fruit crop across the country.
2. Micro propagated plantlets of banana have tremendous yield advantage as experienced by growers across the country.
3. The demand for micro propagated plants is increasing every year.
Scope of training
The training helps in selection of explants, Preparation of stock solutions, growth regulators & media. Handling the cultures, Initiation, Multiplication & hardening of Tissue Cultured plants. The Training programme shall include theory, practical’s, demonstrations & discussions.
