Farmer asked about beneficiary status of PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana

As the Prime Minister Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana enters its third year, farmers across the country have been enquiring about their beneficiary status. The scheme, introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2019, aims to provide financial assistance to small and marginal farmers by granting them Rs. 6,000 annually in three equal instalments.

The scheme was launched to help farmers deal with the financial burden of crop failure, natural disasters, and other unforeseen circumstances. The first two instalments are transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account from December to March and the third instalment is transferred from April to July.

To check their beneficiary status, farmers can visit the official website of the scheme- pmkisan.gov.in. The website provides a simple way for farmers to self-register or correct their details if needed. Farmers can check the status of their application by entering their Aadhaar number, bank account number or mobile number. Once the details are verified, the beneficiary status is displayed on the website.

For those who do not have access to the internet or are not familiar with the website, they can seek assistance from their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC). The CSCs have been set up to provide necessary information and assistance to the farmers in registering and tracking their application status.

Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has requested state governments to identify and register eligible farmers under the scheme. The government has also launched an outreach programme to raise awareness and ensure maximum participation among farmers.

It is important to note that the scheme covers only small and marginal farmers. Landowners with larger landholdings and individuals with high-income sources are not eligible for the scheme. As per the latest statistics, over 11 crore farmers have been registered under the scheme and over Rs. 1,05,000 crore have been disbursed.

Overall, the PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana has been instrumental in providing financial assistance to farmers across India. The scheme has helped alleviate the financial burden and has had a significant impact on the lives of small and marginal farmers and their families. As the scheme enters its third year, it is important for all eligible farmers to check their beneficiary status and take advantage of the benefits that the scheme offers.
